Luxembourg-Based Elora Raises €1.7M To Launch AI Call Assistant

Luxembourg startup Elora, a next-gen AI solution for managing business calls, has raised €1.7 million in pre-seed funding to develop the beta version of its flagship product, Elora Call.

The finance was raised with public funding as well as business angel support.

Elora’s platform empowers companies to create custom generative AI assistants functioning as helpdesks, receptionists or call handlers that manage incoming calls, provide key metrics, and free up employees to focus on their core responsibilities.

“They will have a dashboard showing all kinds of KPIs: the cost saving that they have made, the time every agent has spent on the phone, and monitoring for improving customer service,” said Elora co-founder and COO, Reyhaneh Niknejad.
“It will be the first time in a company’s history that they can finally monitor what’s happening with incoming calls.”

Elora Call’s AI assistants are multilingual, fluent in French, German, English, and Luxembourgish. They can seamlessly switch languages within the same conversation, a crucial asset in Luxembourg’s diverse environment. The assistant can also transfer calls, book meetings, and handle routine tasks, significantly improving customer service.

The idea for Elora emerged in 2023 when Reyhaneh and developer Mattieu Detaille, now co-founders, shared frustrations about the lack of a receptionist at Reyhaneh’s former workplace, which created additional work and distraction.

“The goal is for call assistants to handle all those incoming calls so that employees can focus on their own tasks,” she said.

Target Sectors and Use Cases

Currently targeting SMEs with 100+ employees, Elora is focusing on sectors that face staff shortages or seasonal call volume spikes such as automotive, heavy industry, syndics and tech.

“For example, when you call a garage to get your tires changed and you have to wait 15 minutes just to have an appointment,” explained CEO Mattieu Detaille. “That can be super frustrating and here is where Elora can take care of those simple tasks.”

The twelve person team had released the beta version of Elora Call early 2025. In parallel, the company is enhancing the tool’s ability to manage complex conversations involving personal data.

Elora, which was a winner of the fifteenth edition of Luxembourg incubator programme Fit4start,is currently a finalist to represent Luxembourg at the Startup World Cup.

Looking ahead, the team aims to scale quickly across Benelux but their goal is to be the largest AI telephone agent in Europe.
